Vimal ji, is the founder of Atma Jyoti Yoga School. Vimal ji, through his patient, kind and enthusiastic teaching, brings out the full potential of all his students, whatever their level, ability, and previous knowledge of yoga. When teaching asanas, students under Vimal’s guidance achieve greater calmness, and sense of self brought about not only from the physical postures themselves, but by experiencing the true spirit and energy of the posture, through breathing and Vimal’s compassionate and detailed teaching. One of the most favored yoga teachers in the Yoga Niketan Ashram located in Rishikesh, Vimal has taught yoga and meditation to thousands of students. Vimal teaches on a daily basis in the ashram and is able to connect with students from all over the world, having had the privilege of teaching students from countries including India, Japan, Russia, Europe, and the United States. Vimal is fluent in English, Hindi and Sanskrit. Vimal specializes in advanced asanas, pranayama, meditation, and vedic chanting. Vimal is also a pundit (Hindu priest) performing puja and mantra chanting. Vimal came to Rishikesh at the age of 13 to learn yoga and spirituality. He studied and practiced yoga and spirituality in the Parmath Niketan ashram for 10 years from 2004 to 2014 during which time he completed his BA graduation from the ashram in Sanskrit literature under the guidance of great masters. Vimal ji, has obtained a masters’ degree in yogic science from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University in Haridwar. During his 2 years of his masters’ degree he studied ayurveda, panchakarma, acupressure, naturopathy and had a particular interest in yoga philosophy and hatha yoga.
Savitri Rathore is the wife of Acharya Sudam Rathore; was born in South Korea and had an inspiration in Yoga by her mother in childhood. After undergoing a Yoga Teacher Training Course in Seoul, Korea in 2003, a curiosity for in-depth knowledge in Yoga and Spirituality brought her to India. Since then, she has been studying and practicing Yoga, Indian culture and philosophy under the guidance of Acharya Sudam Rathore and her Guru, Swami Atulananda. After completing a Master’s degree in Science of Yoga (M.Sc) from Swami Vivekananda Yoga University in Bangalore in 2009, she started to teach Yoga more in holistic and therapeutic aspect, inspiring practitioners and guiding yoga teachers. Since then she has been actively working as a Yoga teacher, Yoga therapist, lecturer, director, and coordinator in various places such as Yoga centers, universities, institutions and for Yoga seminars and workshops throughout India, Korea and Russia. Her very interest is “Women in modern society & the role of Yoga”.
Acharya sudama is the founder of “Gurukripa Divine Society” . He left his home at the age of 12 for the study and spirituality. He has studied Sanskrit Grammer, vedic philosophies, Bhagvatgita, Srimad Bhagavatam, Ramayana, Music, yoga as well as the contemporary teaching of other regional saints from various well known teachers and schools. Seeing his ability and mastery over his Yoga Guru swami Vijnanananda Saraswati (the direct disciple of Swami Yogesvarananda Saraswati – the founder of Yoga Niketan Trust) awarded him with a Title of “HATHA YOGACHARYA” the master of Hatha Yoga, with the certificate of his tradition. Further he completed the four years Sanskrit study from Sampurnanand University at the branch of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh and yoga certificate course from Gurukul Kangari University, Haridwar. Acharya ji has been teaching yoga and giving Satsang (spiritual discourse) for last 20 years. His assimilated knowledge of Yoga, clear mind, steady insight in spirituality, his open mind, joyful, loving, caring and serious nature open the hearts of the students and make them feel safe and happy.
Acharya Ram Prasad was born in an orthodox Brahmin family in Himalayan region. He is a pundit who performs the Vedic rituals and also practices the Vedic astrology. He has been teaching Yoga and meditation in Yoga Niketan Ashram since 2008. He had done post graduation in Sanskrit from Sampuranand University, Varanasi in 2006 and had studied Vedic literature under the guidance of his spiritual master Swami Dayananda Saraswati in Rishikesh. He also has been working as an editor for the bi-monthly magazine, Akhand Sadhana-Wholesome Yogic Practice, of Harihar Kailash Ashram, Rishikesh. His in-depth knowledge and calm and composed personality make him to be highly appreciated by his national and international students. His Mission is to eradicate disorders – physical, mental, emotional, psychological, social and financial by understanding the law of nature and rediscovering the true self which is in the form of Bliss.
